iPage WordPress Setup

Setting up your very own website through iPage can be really quick and easy that your own work may even surprise and overwhelm you with pride! Here is a quick outline on how you can create your website through iPage!

STEP 1 – Let’s Install WordPress In Less Than 3 Minutes!

  1. Make a quick log in to iPage web hosting control panel.
  2. After logging in, you will be directed to a page where you must simply move your mouse over the “SCRIPTING and ADD-ONS” tab and click on “INSTALL CENTRAL”
  3. In this current webpage, click on the tab “BLOGS” from the horizontal panel and choose “WORD PRESS” from the left vertical panel.
  4. Look then at the bottom of the page. You will see a button “BEGIN INSTALLATION”. Go click on this button.
  5. You will be directed to a page where you will need to fill out information like Blog title, admin username and admin password. Provide the necessary information.
  6. Finally, hit “INSTALL” button. WordPress will begin installing and it won’t even take a minute!

STEP 2 – Create Your Own Website with Your Own Theme Without Paying for Anything!

1. CHOOSE BETWEEN “FREE” WEBSITE THEMES AND PREMIUM WORDPRESS THEMES.
If you haven’t experienced choosing a website theme, then here you will discover how enjoyable and easy it can be! And it doesn’t necessarily need to cost you anything! Most website owners especially of personal blogs are taking full advantage of iPage free themes. I did so myself until I really enjoyed personalizing my website that I decided to finally get myself a premium wordpress theme, which I got from WooThemes.com.

2. CHOOSE THE PERFECT THEME THAT SUITS THE KIND OF WEBSITE THAT YOU ARE AIMING FOR!

  1. Log in at WordPress with the account you just created using this username format: yoursite.com/wp-admin/
  2. At the left panel of the webpage, click on the tab “APPEARANCE” and choose “THEMES”.
  3. You will be directed to a page where you can either “manage” or “install” a theme. For starters, you may click on the tab “INSTALL THEME”.
  4. Select from a wide variety of available themes and click on the tab “UPLOAD”.
  5. You will then see a successfully installed theme now live on your very own website!
